Project Description

CPH Dos Pueblos Associates, LLC, Santa Barbara County

The Paradiso del Mare Ranch Estates project consists of development of two, rural residential home sites on a 143-acre property in Santa Barbara County. The residential project includes an integral plan for upland and riparian habitat restoration, and several future recreational facility improvements that will implement the first major component of the California Coastal Trail along the southern Gaviota Coast area.

Winecki Consulting, Inc. has assisted with all facets of entitling the project with the County of Santa Barbara and Coastal Commission, and is currently working with the property owners on the project implementation phase. Project responsibilities have included preparing policy and environmental constraints analyses, identifying and assisting with the preparation of technical studies necessary to facilitate environmental review, assisting with location and design of proposed project features, potential project alternatives, and project-proposed mitigation measures, coordination with various stakeholders to identify feasible public access and recreational facility improvements for beach access and the California Coastal Trail, and representing the project at public hearings. The County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the project in February 2014, and the Coastal Commission found No Substantial Issue for the project on appeal in April 2014.
